What You’ll Do
- This role involves operating, inspecting, and maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Responsibilities include troubleshooting electrical issues, performing repairs, conducting preventive maintenance, and complying with safety codes and regulations.
- The position also requires the use of electrical test equipment, installation of Direct Digital Control (DDC) systems, and maintaining detailed maintenance records.
- Occasional driving of a company vehicle is required.
- While there are no formal supervisory duties, the role provides technical guidance and task coordination for coworkers, ensuring timely completion of projects.
You will need to have:
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) plus a minimum of seven years experience as a licensed electrician
- Valid driver's license required.
Nice To Haves:
- Completion of a formal apprenticeship program is preferred.
- Prior experience with DDC and EMS preferred.
- Master Electrician license as dictated by local electrical codes
Education and Experience:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable, and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.
- Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles and to understand operating budgets.
- Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and/or commissions.
- Conducts basic financial analysis.
- Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents.
- Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations.
- Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills.
- Uses personal computer and/or PDA for work order system, email, ESS, and training.
- Basic skills with Microsoft Office Outlook. Physical requirements include stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
