This is on site position open to any qualified applicant in the Hartford, CT, Hybrid 3 days

We are seeking a AWS Data Architect with demonstrated ability of 7 to 11 years, The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in AWS Glue Studio AWS Glue ETL AWS Glue Catalog Python Pyspark Postgres Amazon S3 AWS Cloud Formation AWS CloudWatch AWS IAM . Experience in the Re-Insurance domain is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of cloud-based solutions using AWS services.
  • Apply AWS Glue Studio to build and run ETL workflows.
  • Implement data transformation and loading processes using AWS Glue ETL.
  • Have hands-on experience with AWS Glue Studio AWS Glue ETL and AWS Glue Catalog.
  • Show expertise in using Amazon S3 for data storage and management.
  • Maintain and optimize the AWS Glue Catalog for efficient data management.
  • Lead all aspects of the development and deployment of AWS Cloud Formation templates to automate infrastructure provisioning.
  • Guide in AWS CloudWatch for supervising and logging cloud resources.
  • Manage AWS IAM roles and policies to ensure secure access to cloud resources.
  • Develop and maintain Python scripts for automation and data processing tasks.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Python for scripting and automation.
  • Skilled in Pyspark
  • Postgres experience
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality cloud solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in cloud architecture.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

Qualifications

  • Possess strong experience in AWS Cloud Formation AWS CloudWatch and AWS IAM.
  • Be skilled in Apache Spark for data processing and analytics.
  • Experience in the Re-Insurance domain is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid model and adapt to day shifts.
  • Willingness to travel as the need arises.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality cloud solutions.
  • Dedication to continuous learning and professional development.

Certifications Required

Good to have AWS Solution Architect certification but not required

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this open job is between $158,500 – $186,000 USD depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This role is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
