As a Senior Information System Security Engineer (ISSE), you'll support vital missions that shape the future of intelligence systems. Your work will directly influence the development and application of innovative technologies such as machine learning, artificial intelligence, and advanced data analytics, ensuring that the virtual environments you oversee play a crucial role on a global scale.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Assessment and Authorization (A&A) and information assurance processes in accordance with Risk Management Framework (RMF) guidelines.
  • Collaborate closely with software developers and architects to comprehend and implement security requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance to application developers on security policies and requirements, ensuring adherence to best practices.
  • Utilize DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and STIG Viewer for security compliance assessments.
  • Develop and validate security control implementations and create test procedures.
  • Stay current on security risks and protocols, proactively addressing potential vulnerabilities.
  • Utilize RMF and Xacta for security documentation and compliance management.
  • Maintain an active TS clearance adjudication with the ability to obtain SCI and polygraph, and work 100% onsite in a secure environment.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience; or a Master’s degree with 8 years of experience.
  • Proven experience in supporting A&A and information assurance processes.
  • Strong understanding of DISA STIGs and hands-on experience with STIG Viewer.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of current security risks, protocols, and best practices.
  • DoD Approved 8570 IA Technical (IAT) Level 3 or IA Management (IAM) Level 2 Certification.
  • Active experience in RMF and Xacta.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with cloud-hosted information systems or applications.
  • Proficiency in Red Hat or CentOS Linux operating systems.
  • Experience working in a DevSecOps environment and utilizing related tools.
  • Ability to create and implement security tools for scanning, testing, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Experience planning and overseeing configuration changes for major applications across multiple networks.
  • Strong analytic and problem-solving skills.

We use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range. To accommodate all locations, we have listed the bottom to the top of the possible range, and will share the target range for a specific location during the recruiting discussion. Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidates unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience. The range for this position is:

$107,000.00 - $229,000.00 annually.
