Our client is seeking a full-time Social Media Managerfor their education gaming organization. In this role, you will help manage and grow their owned social media channels, create social strategy and campaigns, and engage with players on social media platforms.

In the role of Social Media Manager, you will report to the Head of Social Media –Studios. Your primary responsibility is to lead content creation, manage the content calendars (including scheduling and posting content), draft copy, monitoring and engaging with followers, and reporting on social metrics and insights. You’ll work closely with their Gaming Education business, marketing, community, product teams, as well as with our global community of educators.

We are seeking an energetic, creative self-starter with superb communication skills, and passion for education and technology. Other competencies include a familiarity with K-12 education, understanding of current social media trends, and ability to skillfully drive community growth and engagement.

SCOPE OF WORK:

  • Build on and refine existing social media strategy that resonates with our diverse and global audience of educators, school administrators, students and parents while ensuring alignment with theoverarching brand, tone of voice, and global social strategy.
  • Define channel priorities, set goals and targets, aligning to business goals and audience insights.
  • Create social media campaigns for key beats in partnership with the Gaming Education Marketing and in collaboration with our client’s larger Education organization.
  • Provide input into paid social media strategies and campaigns.
  • Host content ideation and team brainstorms.
  • Generate and publish social content and engage with audiences daily.
  • Curate user generated content and identify potential influencers, creators, and customer voices to highlight and work with.
  • Provide strategic recommendations and support for the Gaming Creative Team in conceptualization and execution of assets.
  • Track and report on channel and content performance, setting benchmarks and contributing to campaign reporting dashboards.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • 6+ years of experience in social media strategy planning, goal setting, and implementation
  • Experience managing high volume social media channels for well-known brand or product
  • Experience working in gaming sector preferred
  • Passion for education/social impact
  • Understanding of community engagement and audience strategy
  • Familiarity using data to adjust and optimize strategy and activations for community-facing channels, and report and communicate channel performance results.
  • Excellent collaboration, copywriting, and communication skills. English language.
  • Competent with Office 365 and analytics tools (Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Sprinklr, Sprout Social and native social media analytics experience preferred)

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $49.49 to $54.99 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
