Sodexo is seeking aCatering Services Managerto join our award-winning program atMuhlenberg CollegeinAllentown, PA. Muhlenberg Dining Services offers best-in-class food management solutions, which create a positive impact and make a difference in the lives of our clients and customers.
This position will help support catering services for special events at this private, Liberal Arts College. They will be responsible for executing events, fostering and maintaining an exceptional relationship with the client, and will develop a frontline staff. This position requires a valid driver's license for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, as driving a company/client/personal vehicle is an essential function of this position.
The successful candidate will:
• assist the Catering Director with oversight of all catering day-to-day operations;
• successfully coordinate all required tasks through supervisors and frontline staff;
• achieve company and client financial targets and goals;
• develop and maintain client and customer relationships;
• help develop strategic plans;
• work hands-on with the team to ensure safety and sanitation (HACCP) compliance; developing and mentoring; engaging and fostering culture;
• have daily interaction with students, faculty, staff and the dining team to ensure guest satisfaction;
• create a positive environment;
The ideal candidate will have:
• food service management experience in a high-volume hospitality environment;
• strong leadership skills and proven ability to foster culture, retain employees, and develop frontline staff;
• culinary and/or food service experience and a strong background in safety and sanitation compliance;
• proven ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrated professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service;
• be enthusiastic, eager to learn, and self-motivated;
• a results-driven mindset that enjoys working hands-on to support the team;
• proven ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements:
Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
