The QC Welding Inspector position plays a crucial role in ensuring; proper placement of components before welding, in line with shop drawings and job specifications. And finished products meet all code, specification and internal quality requirements.
- Conducting dimensional inspections on fabricated pieces after assembly, inspecting welding preparations and tack welds, reporting and addressing non-conformances, updating inspection progress in the system interpreting plans and standards and inspecting structural geometry.
- Must adhere to safety rules, follow corporate quality procedures and perform other related tasks as assigned,
Key Qualifications:
- Education/Training: Hish School Diploma or equivalent, with minimum 2+ years of fabrication experience and proficiency in blueprint interpretation,
- Technical Skills/Abilities: Knowledge in welding, steel fabrication and reading blueprints, drawings and specifications. Maintain dimensional tolerances and use measuring tools. Ability to interpret P&ID's highly desired.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, stand walk and bend for long periods of time. Work in variable climate conditions.
