What you will do

In accordance with corporate and group policies and procedures, and under direction of the Quality and Continuous Improvement Manager for the North America Parts Business, the Quality Engineer Intern shall provide day-to-day support related to quality, supplier specification and process improvement activities in the HVAC Applied Parts business. Implementation of corporate and local quality assurance initiatives; Supplier qualifications and audits; assuming a leadership and/or facilitation role for a variety of continuous improvement programs.

How you will do it

• The Quality Engineer Intern provides customer support to the North America Parts Business

• Develops, implements, and maintains processes, procedures, and policies to manage an appropriate quality system and all associated programs

• Leads teams in quality problem resolution,

• Supports resolution of technical issues from customers.

• Coordinates product returns authorization and non-conformity report resolution processes

• Develops, trains, and supports appropriate warehouse personnel in all quality related areas.

• Supports materials and supply chain efforts related to supplier specification development, implementation, and adherence

• Collaborate with key suppliers who provide material to the North America Parts business, assuring timely resolution issues.

• Conducts internal and supplier quality system and process audits, including the coordination of all associated corrective actions

• Coordinates database and reporting metrics for warranty, cost of quality, and supplier quality level.

• Maintains a working knowledge of government and industry codes and standards to support customer service efforts.

• Support in redesigning the Quality reporting system.

• Help rebuild the Warranty and NCR databases.

• Document Quality processes.

• Update the Management System Documentation and create process quizzes for Acadia (Warehouse).

What we look for

Required

• In school pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field. Masters preferred.

• Proficiency in Database Software, Manufacturing Software,

• Microsoft Office suite, and AS400.
