Job Summary and Qualifications
Supervises staff in performance of all Nuclear Medicine procedures on a direct or indirect basis. Ensures compliance of all Nuclear Medicine regulatory requirements through state of Florida Office of Radiation Control and Federal Nuclear Regulatory Commission. Maintains all appropriate quality control as defined by the above agencies. Ensures completion of all required work at the end of of tour. Meets staffing requirements for department. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of Osceola Hospital. It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with the core values. The employee shall support Osceola Hospital's strategic plan and the goals and direction of the Performance Improvement Plan (PIP).
What qualifications you will need:
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Graduate of an accredited program of Nuclear Medicine Technology
- Minimum two years of Nuclear Medicine experience. Ability to perform routine procedures with stationary and portable equipment in all areas of the facility including the operating room.
- Florida State License in Nuclear Medicine
- Demonstrates ability to work with patients of all ages, extensive knowledge of the correct operation of all departmental equipment, accessories and procedures. Ability to train various staff types in essential job functions and evaluate those functions.
- Good communication skills and the ability to use proper channels of communication. Ability to coordinate varied tasks. Strong nuclear cardiology background preferred.
- Bachelors Degree preferred
- Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB), or Nuclear Medicine Technologist (N) (ARRT) required
