This Lab Supervisor position in our Coil division within the Color Science group will be responsible for a variety of exciting activities related to managing of color science priorities and projects, troubleshooting, and executing on agreed upon development plans for the team.

•Assist in laboratory staffing needs, including hiring, onboarding, training, development, tracking and evaluating performance, and performance management.
•Manages maintenance of priorities and projects with moderate guidance.
•Assists in supporting new business opportunities by prioritizing and developing new or updated formulas; will perform tasks that require comprehensive understanding of chemistry and technology platforms
•Assist in external and internal customer communication and supports customer visits
•Assist with developing project timelines, materials, personnel, and other project requirements, receives direction and presents information to management.
•Assist in gathering project data and presenting to stakeholders and management internally
•Determines corrective action and implements changes, receives direction on medium complex or unique circumstances.
•Applies department policies and procedures and applicable laws, rules, and regulations; ensures compliance with these areas.
•Comprehensive understanding of products, formulation, application, industry, and customer requirements
•Performs other duties as assigned.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

•Bachelor’s of Science in STEM and/or 2-3 years prior laboratory experience
• 2-3 years of lab experience
•Applying basic project management concepts and basic business administration principles and practices
•Applying department policies and procedures and applicable laws, rules, and regulations
•Applying comprehensive application methods and procedures
•Applying chemistry principles and practices; including formulation of liquid coating
•Communicating technical information
•Advanced PC skills; including Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• 1 year of prior management with direct reports experience.
• Coil and/or Extrusion experience.
• Color theory experience.
• Microsoft 365 Apps (PowerApp, etc) experience.

•Supervising and evaluating employees


TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: 10%
