What you will do:

  • Responsible for developing and maintaining bill of material information for all products manufactured in
  • the plant. Responsible for maintaining the complete master item with the correct parameters for the proper
  • use of the MRP system. Must be able to coordinate with the different areas of the plant the correct and
  • appropriate generation of views / parameters of all the part numbers existing in the plant. Responsible for
  • coordinating changes to the product with the different areas of the plant and ensuring that the effective
  • dates in the MRP system are correct to ensure the effective implementation of products

How you will do it:

  • Under general/minimal supervision/direction, operate with a high degree of independence on individual projects geared to efficient and successful planning and execution of tests.
  • Able to handle several concurrent projects while providing ongoing, day-to-day, hands-on test guidance, test data review and analysis, and interacting with external customers.
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Update the revision and/or drawing field in the MRP system.
  • Release technical information in the different servers and databases of new drawings or new drawing revisions. Also responsible for removing obsolete versions and save them in obsolete folders.
  • Elaboration and filling of Engineering Changes (ECN).
  • Creation and maintenance of product structures (BOM).
  • Creation of new parts in MRP based on the generation of ECNs provided by the different Design Centers.
  • Extend part numbers from other plants to local plant. Once the parts have been extended, we proceed to update the views and parameters corresponding to the area.
  • Make changes to the current BOMs indicating the corresponding Engineering change number ECN.
  • Generate the BOMs and part numbers of a product by loading all the components that integrate it as purchase parts, raw material, manufactured parts, sub-assemblies, general assemblies and reference drawings in the master material of the MRP system. Manufacturing Engineering Manager
  • Coordinate the product change board (CCB).
  • Coordination and follow-up of Engineering Changes in the EC Home tool.
  • Responsible for the effective dates in MRP once the changes have gone through the implementation phases and the dates were defined by the involved departments.
  • Sending notifications of the different Engineering changes by email to the users every time they are required to perform any activity related to the product change.
  • Coordination and follow-up of Deviations with the corresponding areas.
  • Generation of weekly reports of ECNs for the follow-up of the Product Engineers.
  • Responsible for weekly audits of product parameters in MRP. Maintain 100% in the results of the audits performed. Determine root cause analysis and solution plans for when errors are found in the audits.
  • Maintain deviation metrics by ensuring that the ATP phase does not exceed 2 days and that the ATP phase is completed in no more than 5 days.
  • Responsible for always ensuring that the deviations procedure is known by all and that other departments follow it. This will be reflected with metrics compliance.
  • Generate and update Engineering procedures for ISO9000 compliance.
  • Engineering representative of the MRB committee to attend and coordinate the differences reported by warehouse and materials.
  • Responsible for NPI activities and coordinating with manufacturing team to implement all process changes required.

What we look for:

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent; experience required a minimum of two years of progressive experience in Engineering. Knowledge of ISO9001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001, JCMS, Production Control, Ergonomics, Poka Yoke Systems, Core Tools, Problem Solving Methodology, Innovation, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, SMED, KANBAN, VSM, 5s, TPM, Sigma, BBPs, KPIs. Advanced knowledge of Office tools, Knowledge of MRP systems (Mapics AS400).
