Position Summary:
STARPLUS ENERGY LLC is seeking a dedicated, detail oriented individual to join our team as a Production Equipment Specialist. As a member of our team, you will play a crucial role in our company's positive culture. You will help us build and maintain the jigs for the assembly room at STARPLUS ENERGY LLC. The Production Equipment Specialist will report directly to the Assembly Production Manager and be responsible for jig maintenance, preparation, and cleaning for Master, Core, and General jigs with secondary responsibilities assisting the department with TPM implementation and improvements.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Maintain and organize Core, General, and Master Jigs ensuring proper functionality; this includes ordering, sorting, inspecting, repairing, tracking, and registering jigs into Equipment Management System (EMS)
- Utilize the Manufacturing Execution System for daily job functions, analyzing data to identify trends and recommend solutions for process efficiency
- Interpret design specification sheets, blueprints, or metric drawings in order to accomplish Tool to Tool Management/Matching (TTTM)
- Complete preventative/corrective maintenance (PM/CM) on jigs to prevent downtime and wear and tear impacts on production; this includes monitoring Usage Based Management (UBM) and Time Based Management (TBM) metrics and interlocks
- Collaborate with manufacturing department managers to establish and refine key metrics, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives
- Compile, complete, and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly reports to keep stakeholders informed of KPIs
- Implement, audit, and maintain TPM and 5S principles throughout the Assembly area
- Perform other position related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Basic:
- Minimum Age: 18 years old
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in a maintenance or fabrication position
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- While travel is unlikely, the ideal candidate will be able to travel, with reasonable prior notice as required (domestic and/or international)
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, or holidays as required
- Ability to root cause and use hand tools to resolve mechanical problems with jigs
- Understand the different types of mechanisms used in jigs, such as (but not limited to) springs, magnetics, and pneumatics
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively with individuals at all organizational levels
- Complete proficiency in the Microsoft Office tool suite
Preferred:
- Expert level experience in MS Excel (Pivot Tables) and ERP software (MES, and SAP)
- Exposure to production control, supply chain, or material handling systems and procedures
- Cross-functional team leadership experience
- Ability to simplify and comprehend big data to drive actions and improvements
- Familiarity with visual KPI dashboard tools and automation
