Job Summary:
The Management Support Specialist holds a critical role in the day-to-day operations, focusing on interpreting, analyzing, and transforming raw data into valuable statistics and information using diverse approaches and business intelligence tools. Additionally, as part of your responsibilities, you will actively contribute to the creation of presentation materials and handle administrative tasks. This support directly assists the planning manager in the assigned manufacturing areas, providing essential insights and facilitating efficient operations.
Responsibilities:
- Data Organization and Analysis:
- Organize diverse sets of man, machine, process, quality, and maintenance data to identify trends, formulate hypotheses, and contribute to the design of prediction models.
- Reporting and Coordination:
- Collaborate on the creation and distribution of daily, weekly, and monthly department reports, covering safety, quality, production, and other key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Maintain an inter-departmental schedule for meetings, training, time-offs, and team-building activities as assigned.
- Communication Facilitation and Administrative Tasks:
- Serve as a communication bridge between the shop-floor and support functions, fostering continual improvement in communication channels and data quality.
- Facilitate tasks such as writing, scheduling, and inspecting employee training, cost improvement proposals, and promotional pitches for departmental work culture enhancement.
- Execute real-time data synthesis using various analytical tools and handle the ordering of department consumable materials while managing accounting processes in collaboration with the finance department.
- Ensure compliance with the requirements of the quality management system and relevant regulations.
Qualifications
Education
- Associate Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
Experience
- 3 years of proven expertise in data analytics
- Track record of achieving results on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Demonstrated technical problem-solving proficiency
- Robust understanding of systems and procedures related to production control, supply chain, or material handling
- Significant experience in the high-volume manufacturing industry
Required Skills:
- Exceptional organizational, written, and oral communication skills
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, adept at engaging with individuals at all organizational levels
- Proficient in establishing impactful cross-functional relationships internally and externally
- Comprehensive proficiency in Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in technical field
- Proven proficiency in continuous improvement systems and hands-on experience in lean manufacturing methodologies.
- Certifications/proven skills in Excel, VBA, Python, Power BI, Tableau, or other data tools
- Program Management Experience
- Lean Six Sigma – Greenbelt Certificate
- Bilingual (English/Korean)
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- Travel may be required at times (domestic/international)
- Working overtime, weekends, or holidays may be required at times
- Ability to sit, walk and stand for long periods throughout the day
- Ability to gown and wear appropriate PPE in dry room conditions on the manufacturing floor
