Position Summary:Shares responsibility for individual patients or groups of patients in the delegation and coordination of nursing care. Performs independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions as defined by the Maryland Nurse Practice Act. Works under the direct supervision and direction of the Clinical Imaging Supervisor.
Essential Functions: Patient Care Responsible for the care of patients receiving exams in Interventional Radiology and Cardiac Cath/Pain Management, under the supervision of the performing physician
Tasks:All Radiology Nurse Clinician I job objectives are completed. Assumes accountability for the quality of patient care through nursing standards within the Department of Imaging Services.
Educate:Provides education and communicates to patients, family and other health team members.
Tasks: Identifies patient teaching needs and provides instruction for patient and family. Keeps patient and family informed regarding status of patient care. Quality Improvement Participates in department issues related to continuous quality improvement. Tasks: Supports and assists in development and accomplishment of Imaging Services objectives.
Qualifications/Requirements:Formal working knowledge; equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years college); requires knowledge of a specialized field.
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; Bachelor's of Nursing, preferred; BSN's from CCNE accredited schools
Experience:1-3 years
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations: Maryland Registered Nurse License, American Heart AssociationCPR Certification, BLS Certification,ACLS Certification
