Summary

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Clinical Outcomes Specialist/Clinical Nurse Specialistwill provide support to theICU Stepdown, PCU,OROC,IR and the Virtual HospitalCare departments at Sinai Hospital. The Clinical Outcomes Specialist is a Masters’ or Doctoral prepared Registered Nurse who functions as a resource to nurses and patients to improve quality care outcomes within the healthcare organization. The COS works within the Department of Clinical Excellence to facilitate evidence-based practice implementation, positively influencing nursing care delivery. Using a data-driven approach, the COS leads sustainable change to elevate nursing professional practice and ensure seamless, quality patient care across the continuum. The COS applies influence across the three spheres of patient/family, staff, and system to transform healthcare delivery.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree required; MSN with Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) certification preferred, or eligibility to sit for CNS exam
  • 5-7 years of relevant RN experience required; telemetry experience highly preferred
  • American Heart Association BLS
  • Registered Nurse (RN) License required
