New Hires may be eligible for a sign on bonus up to $5,000.00!The Emergency Department Social Worker is responsible for the following:- Provides clinical social work services in accordance with established professional, programmatic, and departmental standards and treatment models.
- Serves as member of interdisciplinary team to plan and implement patient care, assist in program development and participate in continuous quality improvement efforts of the service.
- Provides consultation to interdisciplinary team members on psychosocial issues and specific patient needs.
- Conducts related staff education programs as assigned.
- Participates in departmental meetings, committees, work groups as needed or assigned.
- Utilizes supervision to enhance practice.
- May assist in supervision of Resource Specialist and/or Social Work Interns.
- Prepares accurate, thorough, and timely documentation, record keeping and reporting in conformance with hospital, and departmental standards.
- Develops and maintains professional knowledge and skills through participation in professional organizations, attendance at conferences, seminars and other continuing education programs.
The Emergency Department Social Worker must have the following:- Master’s Degree in Social Work and LCSW is required.
- Flexibility and ability to work in fast-paced multidisciplinary team environment as well as excellent communication skills.
- Experience with social services agencies, understanding of social determinants of health and trauma ideal.
- Bilingual/bicultural/diverse candidates are encouraged to apply. Spanish speaking a plus!
