Location: Atlanta, GA (Airport)
Shift: 1st: Tuesday-Saturday; 6:30am-2:30pm
Pay: $27.00-$31.00/Hr.
The HVAC Technician provides electrical and mechanical support for the buildings at a client campus. This role has wide ranging responsibilities including low/medium voltage power, HVAC system and controls, EPA certificate, mechanical system troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, emergency response, general maintenance, carpentry, and maintaining plumbing system. Primary responsibilities will include electrical/mechanical support for power systems, lighting systems and controls, and other facility subsystems and support tools.
What is the day to day
- Performance of ongoing preventive and repair response work orders on facility mechanical, plumbing, and other installed systems, equipment, and other components.
- Perform assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on as found conditions impacting satisfactory client occupancy and operations.
- General interior maintenance – light plumbing, hang pictures, install keyboard trays, repair office furniture systems, replace ceiling tiles, and repair doors.
- Assist the operations team in the maintenance and repair of building and equipment and/or as directed
- Moves office furniture, machinery, equipment and other materials as requested
- Set up conference rooms and/or the conference center for events - as requested.
- Assist the Electrician on the team occasionally with light electrical & lighting work
- Clean HVAC coils, change filters and belts - and assist the on-site HVAC technician as needed.
- Complete Hazard Assessments as necessary
- Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas. Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them.
- Maintain compliance to State, County, or City Ordinances, Codes, or Laws. Must complete all required safety trainings as scheduled
- Complies with all policies for the safe storage, usage and disposal of hazardous materials.
Required:
- 1+ years of experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, and basic electrical in a commercial setting
- Experience maintaining commercial HVAC utilities
- EPA Universal Certified
Preferred:
- Experience using CMMS Corrigo Work Order system
Work Environment:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and climb up to 30 ft ladders.
- Position requires frequent climbing, bending, kneeling, lifting, and driving.
