Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced MS Fabric developer with 8 to 10 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in MS Fabric Lakehouse Spark Job Definition OneLake SQL and PySpark. Experience in Life and Annuities Insurance is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable data architectures using Spark in Scala ensuring high performance and reliability.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of data pipelines utilizing Data Activator and Structured Streaming to support real-time data processing.
- Provide technical expertise in Python and PySpark to optimize data workflows and enhance data processing capabilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Lakehouse and OneLake solutions ensuring seamless data storage and retrieval.
- Develop and manage SQL-based data warehouses to support business intelligence and analytics initiatives.
- Design Spark Job Definitions to automate data processing tasks and improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing robust data validation and cleansing processes.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to ensure continuous data flow and address any issues promptly.
- Conduct performance tuning and optimization of data processing jobs to achieve optimal performance.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive innovation and improvements in data architecture.

Qualifications

The annual salary for this position is between $[135,00 – 150,000] depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
