As a Millwright Mechanic at our Kansas City, KS, plant, you will be a member of our highly skilled maintenance team and a key partner to operations, quality, and safety personnel. You will bring out the best in food while being a passionate team player who loves performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and fixing production equipment. The shift for this position could be either a day shift or night shift role, based on seniority. The position pays between $37.93 – $41.00 an hour based on skillset and has incredibly competitive benefits coverage.
A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing
- Preventative Maintenance - Respond to equipment break downs promptly using hand tools and industrial shop equipment to perform job assignments.
- Welding and Fabrication- Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment. Welding stainless steel, aluminum, and other common metals using MIG, TIG & stick welding. Cutting and fabricating metal, Lexan, UHMW Polyethylene, and other common materials.
- Following Best Practices - Read, analyze, and follow engineering drawings. Demonstrating the ability to communicate technical subjects verbally and written to co-workers and vendors. Following all safety and GMP requirements.
We’re Looking for Someone With
- High School Diploma or General Equivalence Degree
- Previous Millwright experience
- Previous welding experience
- Basic computer skills and the ability to use the system appropriate to record work orders
