Hours: Monday - Friday 5am - 5pm
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Select proper plate cylinders for job clean and prep the cylinders
- Prepping plates for mounting
- select proper mounting materials required for specific print jobs
- Set up print cylinders in mounting machine and set up plate layout on mounting machine
- Mount polymer plates on printing cylinders in correct registration and alignment to bag size
- Demounting and cleaning printing cylinders
- Maintain plate inventory for repeat jobs
- Safely work with cleaning chemicals
- Keep work area and aisles clean
- Work with the press operator to correct plate issues on press
Skills/Qualities Required:
- Lift heavy objects utilizing hoist safely
- Lift heavy objects 50 lbs.
- Must be very attentive to detail and exacting to specifications
- Must be able to read and understand written directions
- Must be able to write legibly and fill out production related materials
- Must be able to see colors and have good vision
- Working knowledge of basic hand tools and have mechanical aptitude
- Must be able to draw plate layouts
- Must be able to read measuring tools
- Must be able to adhere to company policy, safety rules and regulations, and wear PPE
