Lead Java Architect

We are seeking an experienced Architect with 10 to 12 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Azure MS Visio Microservices Java Design Patterns and J2EE.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and implementation of scalable and secure architecture solutions using Azure.
  • Oversee the development and deployment of microservices to ensure seamless integration and performance.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the development team on Java Design Patterns and J2EE standard processes.
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements for Pharmacy Benefit Management systems.
  • Develop detailed architectural diagrams and documentation using MS Visio to communicate design concepts.
  • Ensure that all architectural solutions align with industry standards and regulatory requirements in the Pharmacy Benefit Management domain.
  • Conduct regular code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure high-quality code delivery.
  • Optimize system performance and scalability by identifying and addressing bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
  • Participate in the evaluation and selection of new technologies and tools to enhance the development process.
  • Coordinate with project managers to ensure timely delivery of architectural achievements and project goals.
  • Implement standard processes for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) to streamline the development lifecycle.
  • Monitor and solve production issues providing timely resolutions to minimize downtime and impact on users.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in architecture and technology to drive innovation within the team.

Qualifications:

  • Possess a strong background in Azure with hands-on experience in designing and deploying cloud-based solutions.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in MS Visio for creating detailed architectural diagrams and documentation.
  • Have extensive experience in developing and deploying microservices architectures.
  • Show expertise in Java Design Patterns and J2EE with a proven track record of implementing standard processes.
  • Bring domain knowledge in Pharmacy Benefit Management understanding the unique challenges and requirements of the industry.
  • Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to solve complex technical issues.
  • Display strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a hybrid work model.
  • Have a proactive approach to learning and staying ahead of with industry trends and technologies.
  • Demonstrate the ability to lead and mentor a team of developers fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Show experience in implementing CI/CD pipelines to enhance the development and deployment process.
  • Possess a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality scalable solutions.
  • Exhibit strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Have a customer-focused attitude ensuring that architectural solutions meet the needs and expectations of end-users.

The annual salary for this position is between $81,337 – $141,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
