Job Title: Data and Analytics Life Sciences Project Manager
Hybrid: Bridgewater, NJ
Job Summary:
The Senior Project Manager, Data and Analytics, will lead and oversee data-driven Quality and Assurance projects ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. This role requires liaison with business stake holders to go through URS and FRS documents and use the pharma commercial data understanding to reconcile the data between the source and the analytics ready datasets and BI reports and to explain differences to a business operations audience. Selected candidate will be coordinating with cross-functional teams and business SMEs, managing project risks, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality data solutions that support business objectives. Project teams may be spread across different geographies. Hence, work flexibility is required for success of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Project Leadership: Lead and manage data and analytics projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables. Maintain effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Team Coordination: Coordinate with data scientists, analysts, and IT professionals to ensure seamless project execution.
• Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure the accuracy and quality of data and analytics deliverables.
• Reporting: Provide regular project updates to senior management and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 10-12 years of experience in project management, with a focus on data and analytics projects in pharmaceuticals/Life sciences
Skills:
• Strong understanding of data analytics, data warehousing, and business intelligence.
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Qlik).
• Hands on Experience - Data orchestration tools (such as - Informatica PC/IDMC, Alteryx), Snowflake, SQL, MS Office, Jira, Azure Devops (ADO), Confluence.
• Hand on in analyzing high volume data in excel, SQL editor or similar products.
• Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Must
• Experience in a Pharmaceutical or Life Sciences Commercial area projects.
• Good understanding on Pharma commercial data sets (Example – IQVIA, Symphony, Customer and Product MDMs etc.)
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
