Talend architect/Sr tech lead

Location - Hartford , CT USA

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Architect with 13 to 17 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Data Warehousing Concepts Talend Administration Centre Scheduling Basics ETL SQL Data Integration TALEND ETL Databricks and Unix Shell Scripting. Additionally experience in Property & Casualty Insurance is mandatory. This is a hybrid work model with day shifts and no travel required.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and implementation of data warehousing solutions to support business intelligence and analytics needs.

Oversee the administration and optimization of the Talend Administration Centre to ensure efficient ETL processes.

Provide expertise in scheduling basics to ensure timely execution of ETL jobs and data integration tasks.

Develop and maintain ETL processes using TALEND ETL to ensure data accuracy and integrity.

Use Databricks Scripting to automate data processing tasks and improve system efficiency.

Utilize SQL to extract transform and load data from various sources into the data warehouse.

Implement data integration solutions to consolidate data from multiple sources into a unified repository.

Use Unix Shell Scripting to automate data processing tasks and improve system efficiency.

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

Ensure data quality and consistency by implementing robust data validation and error-handling mechanisms.

Monitor and troubleshoot ETL processes to identify and resolve issues promptly.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members to foster their professional growth.

Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in data warehousing and ETL technologies.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of data architecture and integration processes to enhance overall system performance.

Qualifications

Possess a deep understanding of data warehousing concepts and their application in business intelligence.

Demonstrate proficiency in Talend Administration Centre and its role in managing ETL processes.

Have a strong grasp of scheduling basics to ensure efficient execution of data integration tasks.

Exhibit expertise in ETL processes particularly using TALEND ETL to maintain data accuracy.

Show proficiency in SQL for data extraction transformation and loading.

Possess experience in data integration techniques to consolidate data from diverse sources.

Demonstrate skills in Unix Shell Scripting for automating data processing tasks.

Have a solid understanding of the Property & Casualty Insurance domain to align technical solutions with business needs.

Exhibit strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve ETL process issues.

Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior team members.

Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in data warehousing and ETL technologies.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of data architecture and integration processes.

Collaborate effectively with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications.

Certifications Required

Good to have Talend Data Integration Certification Databricks Scripting Certification

Salary and Other Compensation:

Posting End date 10/23/2024

The annual salary for this position is between $140,000 – $ 150,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
