Description

Leidos has an opening for a highly qualified Software License Manager for the Multi-Domain Solutions Division. This is an exciting opportunity to bring your experience to support across all-domain large-scale weapon systems, Information Technology Systems, and Command and Control Systems to realize the Department of Defense Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2). In this role you will support an Integrated Product Team (IPT) for the Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS) Digital Infrastructure (DI) Processing Node (PN) to design and implement solutions that can be delivered at speed, scale, and with the necessary security to deliver operational advantages to the joint warfighter. ABMS is a top modernization priority for the Department of the Air Force and will be the backbone of a network-centric approach to battle management in partnership with all the services across JADC2. This position will work closely with Program Managers, other domain engineers, and Government counterparts across Government and Industry partners.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Lead the software development lifecycle to improve software asset management processes
  • Coordinate with consuming business and technology teams to ascertain system requirements
  • Develop and implement processes to monitor software usage and licenses across the organization to ensure compliance with licensing agreements, terms and conditions, and relevant regulations.
  • Identify and assess risks and issues related to software licensing non-compliance; develop strategies to mitigate these risks and ensure alignment with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement processes to collect, analyze, and report on software license consumption information for forecasting, budgeting, compliance, and cost optimization.
  • Plan, conduct, and oversee regular software license audits to verify compliance and identify potential licensing gaps or discrepancies.
  • Analyze software contracts and usage to determine potential efficiencies and cost saving opportunities.
  • Oversee the future software catalog request options and workflow; evaluate value-add to find opportunities for improvements.
  • Establish and maintain a process to track software end of support and end of life; work with system lifecycle managers to plan these events.
  • Assist in establishing a process to assess software rationalization for the enterprise and business.
  • Collaborate with various departments to establish controls and processes for software installation.

Basic Qualifications :

  • 2 – 4 years prior experience with software license management.
  • US citizenship and an active Secret security clearance, with ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
  • Experience establishing and maintaining a software license management plan.
  • Experience establishing a Digital Media Library for the purpose of downloading and securing software and license keys.
  • Experience defining and establishing a system to maintain required software and license dataattributes.
  • Experience with the following software license management responsibilities:
    • Ensuring appropriate terms and conditions are applied to purchases
    • Downloading software and licenses to digital media library
    • Distributing software licenses to authorized personnel
    • Tracking license expiration dates
    • Tracking software obsolescence
  • Technical consulting experience including experience interfacing with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent problem solving and analysis skills, including the ability to logically create structure and order from unstructured inputs.
  • Self-starter that can work independently while possessing the communication skills to work effectively with software development teams and customers.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a highly distributed, collaborative team environment – Must be self-starter.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $61,750.00 - $111,625.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
