The Advocating Success for Kids (ASK) program is a specialty service of the Children’s Hospital Primary Care Center (CHPCC) and the Martha Eliot Health Center. The ASK team includes developmental-behavioral pediatricians, psychologists, social workers, and educators who work to address developmental, learning, and/or behavioral needs of children. About 70% of the children in ASK have a diagnosis of autism. LICSW supervision is provided.
This ASK Social Work will be responsible for:- Providing assessment, treatment, and advocacy for a diverse group of children.
- Partnering with families and school systems to advocate for special education services through attendance at IEP or other school related meetings
- Providing case management and crisis intervention as needed.
To qualify, you must have:- Master’s Degree in Social Work; MA LCSW required, LICSW preferred
- Bilingual Spanish preferred
- Experience working with children and families ideal
- Public school, Autism and/or Early Intervention experience highly preferred
- Ability to work in a fast pace setting, managing tasks in a timely manner
- Enthusiasm, optimism, and self-motivation
