Overview:
GovCIO is currently hiring for a Journeyman Systems Engineer with an active Secret clearance to provide system/software engineering. This position will be located in Sterling, Virginia and will be a hybrid position.
Responsibilities:
- Provide system/software engineering to include requirements derivation, requirements analysis, hardware configuration, metrics analysis, and integration and test environments.
- Manage and maintain configuration and operation of computer systems and servers.
- Ensure uptime, performance, resources, and security of the computers, servers, and/or systems meet user requirements and align with IT policies and best practices.
- Maintain security policies.
- Automate system and /or application configurations and use tools and technologies as follows: Office 365 ProPlus, PowerShell, Azure, Active Directory, vSphere, Linux, RHEL, Unix, and other technologies; well-versed in infrastructure tools and technologies such as DNS, DHCP, VDI, SQL Server, IIS, Apache, SAN, Hyper-Converged, LAN, WLAN, VLAN, OSI model, TCP/IP, VPN, firewalls, PKI, and/or AWS.
Qualifications:
- High School with 6 - 9 years systems engineering (or commensurate experience)
- Secret clearance with ability to obtain and hold DEA suitability

Posted Pay Range
The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
Posted Salary Range: USD $81,850.00 - USD $98,500.00 /Yr.
