The Server at the Hilton Garden Inn Solomons is responsible for providing prompt, friendly, & accurate food service to our guests. Servers primarily work breakfast hours. This person will set up breakfast buffet, take food and beverage orders, serve food items to guests, and complete payment for guest orders. We are currently looking for a server who is available 2-3 days a week, as well as have the ability to work weekends.
Responsibilities:
•Greet guests, give a clear and correct description of food and beverage options
•Deliver hot to order items from kitchen to tables
•Input orders into computer and secure accurate payment
•Prepare coffee as well as other specialized drinks
•Clear, clean, and reset tables for dining as needed
•Observe diners and respond to requests
•Complete daily prep for the following day
•Roll silverware
•Knowledge and familiarity of current food and beverage offerings
•Escort guests to tables as needed
•Take opportunities to go above and beyond for guest services
•Ensure compliance with food safety and handling policies and procedures, i.e., product rotation, dating, labeling, and cleaning
•Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the restaurant and surrounding areas, i.e., wiping tables, sweeping, mopping, etc
•Demonstrate knowledge of hours and available amenities of the hotel
•Other duties as assigned not to exceed the scope of the food service industry
Requirements:
•Previous serving experience a plus, but will train the right fit
•High school diploma or general education degree or equivalent
