Valle Verde is looking for an Activity Coordinator, responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing engaging activities and events for our residents in our Memory Support. This role involves creating a stimulating environment that promotes social interaction, physical activity, and cognitive stimulation.
Part-Time,
Sunday and Monday, 3 P.M.- 7 P.M., or 4 P.M.- 8 P.M.
Pay Range: $22.50-$28.00 per hour DOE
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement various activities and events tailored to the interests and needs of our residents.
- Coordinate and facilitate activities, including games, outings, arts and crafts, and educational programs.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of activities and make necessary adjustments.
- Collaborate with other staff members to coordinate activities and events.
- Maintain a positive and supportive atmosphere for participants.
- Assist residents with mealtime
- Experience/Training– 2 or more years of direct programming experience with older adults. 1 or 2 years of experience, preferably in a geriatric setting; or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities.
