A Day In The Life
The Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring high-quality standards across all facilities by overseeing quality control procedures, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and maintaining compliance with industry standards. The Quality Manager plays a key role in identifying and implementing best practices, leading quality improvement initiatives, and instilling a culture of quality and continuous improvement across the organization. This role ensures that all products meet the highest quality standards and reach customers free of defects thereby helping to maintain customer satisfaction and uphold the company's reputation for quality excellence.

As a Manager, Quality you will:

  • Lead and oversee all facets of Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Supplier Quality, Field Quality, and Quality Management.
  • Supervise quality management initiatives, including the implementation and maintenance of quality management systems (IATF16949, ISO9001, Customer, OEM).
  • Lead and manage all internal and external quality audits (IATF16949, ISO9001, Customer, OEM).
  • Develop, establish, and implement quality procedures, standards, KPIs, and specifications.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve product quality, reduce costs, and minimize scrap.
  • Engage with Engineering to mature designs, support PPAP completion, and ensure required product testing is completed per the drawing requirements.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and suppliers, addressing quality concerns and striving to improve overall satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex quality issues using root cause analysis and corrective action methods (8D, A3, 5 Whys).
  • Educate and support employees on quality procedures, initiatives, and policies.
  • Mentor site quality auditors and guide the application of consistent quality standards
  • Report on key quality performance metrics to stakeholders.
  • Supervise the claims reporting and warranty data administration
  • Collect and analyze reports of product defects to identify root causes and recommend preventive measures.
  • Research, write, and implement policies and procedures to reduce defect and claims frequency.
  • Lead quality improvement efforts and instill a quality culture organization-wide.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure quality and safety adherence and provide training and education to reinforce best practices.

What We Need From You

  • Bachelor's Degree in Quality Management, Engineering or a related field from an accredited four-year college or university and a minimum of 5 – 7 years of experience in quality management, preferably in automotive or high-volume manufacturing industries and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with global quality management and customer/supplier quality liaison responsibilities. Preferred
  • Project management experience with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously. Preferred
  • Knowledge of TPS/lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of AIAG Core Tools, APQP, PPAP, and SPC techniques.
  • Proven problem-solving experience with complex root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and statistical analysis tools
  • Strong technical knowledge of engineering drawings and specifications.
  • DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State Required
  • Certified ISO-9000 Lead Auditor Preferred

While performing the duties of the job, the associate is required on a daily basis to analyze and interpret data, communicate, and remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the work day and frequently access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices. The associate is regularly required to move about the office and around the corporate campus. The associate must frequently move up to 10 pounds and occasionally move up to 25 pounds.

Travel Requirements
10% Minimal travel is required for this position (up to 10% of the time and on a domestic basis).
