Our work depends on a Software Engineer joining our team to support mission objectives in Annapolis Junction, MD or Sterling, VA.
At GDIT, we foster a people-focused and customer-centric environment in delivering Network Engineering services. As a Software Engineer supporting our government customer, you will be responsible for software development, ICAM support & solutioning, including provisioning, authentication, and access management for on-premises and cloud environments.
In this role, a typical day will include:
- Engaging in the full software development lifecycle, including designing, modeling, security, analyzing systems flow, data usage and work processes, integration, and formal testing of ICAM solutions such as Radiant Logic and/or SailPoint
- Analyzing customer requirements and specifications, and proposing software solutions that meet standards, compliance, and operational needs
- Leading the development, integration, deployment, and maintenance of Attribute-Based Access Control (ABAC) applications
- Designing and building IT engineering solutions that aggregate attributes from authoritative sources, integrating with Virtual LDAP Directories, and interacting with Web Services
- Creating and maintaining detailed programmatic and technical documentation to support software development and ICAM processes
- Providing recommendations for continuous improvement
- Working alongside other engineers on the team to sustain and advance our customer’s capabilities
What you’ll need:
- Active TS/SCI clearance and ability to obtain and maintain a CI poly
- Education: Bachelor of Science Degree, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience
- Must meet DoD 8570 IAT Level II requirements including one of the following: Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, GSEC, GICSP, CySA+, or CCNA Security
- 8+ years of relevant experience
- Proficiency in Java, Spring Framework, JavaScript frameworks, etc.
- Experience with Database technologies (Postgres, MySQL, etc.)
- Experience in application development and database integration
- Experience in interacting with APIs to provide integrated solutions
- Experience in containerizing applications
- Experience in CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with Ansible
- Experience managing Linux based systems
- Experience with bash scripting
- Experience working across the full architecture for web-based applications
- Experience working with Agile software development with Scrum
- Experience deploying COTS and GOTS systems to customer-controlled deployment environments
- Experience writing automating test code and scripts
- Superior communication skills, both oral and written

The likely salary range for this position is $154,960 - $201,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
