Unit Highlights
The Clinical Administrator is a member of MedStar Health entity-based Division of Nursing and leadership team. The role is accountable for directing and supervising clinical and administrative and ancillary resources to ensure the provision of holistic, culturallycompetent, quality, safe, and cost-effective evidence-based nursing care for patients and families. This is accomplished by directaction, delegation, coaching and support of the Division of Nursing's associates and shared/collaborative governance activities.
The Clinical Administrator is recognized as a professional role model and clinical expert who promotes a professional practiceand care environment that supports continuous learning.The Clinical Administrator assumes leadership authority and responsibility during a specific shift (e.g., day, evening, night, and/orweekend) either for a designated number of patient care units/departments or the hospital at large. Collaborates with themembers of the Nursing Leadership team and other administrators/leaders within the hospital in maintaining adherence toregulatory and accreditation standards, and MedStar Health's policies and procedures. Demonstrates leadership and behaviorswhich are consistent with MedStar's mission, vision, goals, SPIRIT Values, patient care philosophy, and sound moral and ethicaljudgement.

Qualifications

  • Minimum BSNfrom an accredited School of Nursing required. MSN, or CNLfrom an accredited School of Nursing preferred.
  • Minimum three years of progressive nursing experience required. Leadership experience strongly preferred.
  • Active MD RN License or Active Compact State RN and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required.

This position has a hiring range of $86,112.00 - $131,497.00
