Job Summary

Novant Health is hiring a Labor and Delivery Assistant Nurse Manager for the Night shift at our New Hanover Regional Medical Center location in Wilmington, NC. We're offering up to a $7,500 relocation bonus.

About the Labor and Delivery Department:

We're seeking a registered nurse to join our Labor and Delivery Unit. Our unit has a dedicated team of passionate nurses who prioritize women's health and promote a teamwork culture. We offer exceptional care to our patients during labor and antepartum periods. If you possess the necessary qualifications and share our commitment to delivering high-quality patient care, this may be the perfect opportunity for you.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and communicates patient care needs for discharge planning in interdisciplinary care conferences and with members of the health care team.
  • Develops and implements an individualized plan of nursing care with the patient and family that will address the patient's and family's needs and concerns.
  • Implements and evaluates the patient's response to care through assessment and reassessment and updates the plan of care.
  • Ensures that patients are admitted, transferred and discharged in a timely manner.
  • Documents assessments, delivery of care and patient's response to care in medical records.
  • Provides information and facilitates patient/family teaching.

Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree accredited in nursing school required.
  • Current valid North Carolina nursing license or Multi-State/Compact required.
  • 2 years of experience in L/D or antepartum preferred
  • Management Experience Preferred

If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
