About the Orthopedic Unit:

We're seeking a registered nurse to join our team at New Hanover Orthopedic Hospital 's Orthopedic unit. T he Orthopedics unit stands out for its exceptionally supportive team culture, making it an ideal environment for new hires, as it's known for its warm welcome. Responsibilities

  • Assessing patients' conditions and health needs.
  • Developing and implementing nursing care plans.
  • Administering medications and treatments prescribed by physicians.
  • Provide exceptional patient care in a supportive team environment.
  • Collaborate with a diverse team of experienced and new graduate nurses.
  • Educating patients and their families about medical conditions, treatments, and preventive care measures.
  • Accommodate both acute and long-term patients with equal dedication.

Qualifications

  • Associates Degree in Nursing
  • Current North Carolina Nursing License or Multi-State/Compact
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a supportive team culture
  • Flexibility and adaptability to care for diverse patient populations
  • One-year relevant experience, preferred

If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. To be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
