Virtual Systems Administrator
GDIT seeks a highly motivated and experienced Virtual Systems Administrator to support theDefense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) Defense Stockpile Management System (DSMS) mission at Fort Belvoir, VA. This position will support the Defense Stockpile Management Systems (DSMS) which includes Defense Integration and Management of Nuclear Data Services (DIAMONDS), Joint Application Design Environment (JADE), Nuclear Inventory Management and Cataloging System (NIMACS), Government Acceptance Testing (GAT), and DIAMONDS Accountability Training System (DATS).
Essential Responsibilities:
Support, administer, and maintain the existing VMware vSphere 7.x environment.
Managing and troubleshooting VMware vSphere, vCenter, ESXi Hosts, vSAN storage, and Linux/Windows virtual machines.
Maintain enterprise storage, VMware backup systems, installation, and on-going maintenance.
Support and management of VMware server virtualization, virtual machine provisioning, ESXi Host server maintenance, security compliances, and daily operations.
Support VMware server lifecycle for resource allocation, provisioning, maintenance, and decommissioning of the hardware.
Working knowledge of VMware software-defined data center products and tools for troubleshooting, performance tuning, and reporting.
Maintain the virtualized server environment via configuration, implementation, management, and support for required activities.
Maintain the security compliance in accordance with DoD Directives and guidelines (DoD DISA STIGs).
Monitor the virtual server infrastructure environment health status, service performance, and utilizations.
Understanding of computer networking concepts and ability to configure/maintain virtual networks.
Education and Experience
Required Qualifications:
Security Clearance Level: Final Secret at start.
Certifications:Minimum of DoD 8570 IAT Level II (ex. CompTIA Security + CE)
Location: Primary work location is on-site at Ft. Belvoir

The likely salary range for this position is $88,275 - $112,700. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
