ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Other duties may be assigned.

  • Develops methods to test products based on industry standard specifications.
  • Quotes new test activity for internal and external customers.
  • Designs new test fixtures and ensures proper calibration of equipment.
  • Determines equipment, wiring, controls, and data collection necessary to perform a test.
  • Conducts root cause analysis of test failures and recommends corrective actions.
  • Responsible for creating detailed reports to record test procedures, results, and generate numerical and graphical data.
  • Collaborates with engineering and scientific staff on testing results and provides insights for product development or improvement.
  • Ensures that test procedures comply with safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Evaluates and implements new test technologies to improve testing efficiency and accuracy.
  • Design test equipment (Fixtures and test cables) & optimizing & implement test procedures.
  • Develop Test process instructions with training & qualification plan.
  • Implement audit system to ensure test procedures and test accuracy is sustainable.
  • Experience with test equipment for DWV and Continuity/ Contact resistance testing.
  • CAD, CREO experience along with assembly level programming
  • Hands-on experience with fabricating test adapters.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESRequires knowledge typically acquired through:

  • Completion of a BS in engineering from an accredited college or university, technical or vocational school, and knowledge in operation of test lab equipment.
  • Three to five years related experience or training, and / or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct root cause analysis.
  • Strong understanding of advanced mathematical concepts, including statistical analysis and test reliability.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and mentor junior staff.
