Their application MUST show some 1:5 ratio experience in the Work History section for SD or PCU, otherwise, the managers will not review it. Be sure this is added to the application prior to submitting in order to avoid delay. Also note, ICU exp does not count towards SD/PCU exp at this facility, therefore, you MUST have SD/PCU experience to be considered.
**Targeted patient ratios are 1:4, but they can be up to 1:5-6**
• Must Float to all Stepdown/Advanced Care units

Must have the following requirements:
• Pass an online EKG tele competency assessment before starting the assignment
• BLS & ACLS - must be able to read and interpret strips
• Nurses will be fitted for N95 prior to working on the HRRU unit unless PAPR is offered/needed.
1.5 years exp and some level 1 or 2 preferred
• Travel experience preferred
Floating and Other Requirements:
• Traveler will be first to float at Premier's discretion. Agency will float in/out of specialty clusters. It will be assigned a medically appropriate assignment or support the nursing care team of the unit floated to, including high-risk respiratory unit/COVID.
• If assigned to MVH, this could include floating main campus (Dayton) south campus (Centerville) less than 10 miles from Main Campus and North Campus (Englewood) less than 15 miles from Main Campus.
• Traveler must be available to work every other weekend/holiday.
• Premier Health reserves the right to cancel 3 shifts due to low census per 13-week contract/2 shifts for an 8-week contract.
• Premier Health reserves the right to cancel agreement with 2 weeks' notice without fee or fine.
• Travelers are not eligible for Premier health employee incentives.
Unit Details:
We are a 35-bed medical and radiation oncology unit specializing in oncology and hematology patients. We are mixed acuity, seeing both Med Surg and Advanced Care patients. We see a lot of blood products and chemotherapy patients on our unit while also seeing lots of other skills such as drips, PCAs, wounds, and more.
With ONS Certification, RNs on the unit do administer chemotherapy.
