Maxar is looking for a Software Engineer to join an agile and fast-paced development team creating software to support operational needs around the world. Responsibilities:
Develop and enhance applications and services to exceed our customer expectations.This includes full lifecycle development and ownership of the entire requirement/solution.
Foster and support the ongoing growth and practices of agile development within the organization.
Collaborate with teammates. To us, this means being a good listener and bringing an attitude that creates an environment where innovative ideas flourish.
Participate in the requirements analysis and design for software applications or sub-components.
Code or maintain software applications or sub-components from specifications.
Follow established software development process.
Create appropriate process artifacts including: requirements documentation, design documentation, and test plans.
Test applications as identified in the development methodology, and create necessary documentation.
Required Qualifications:
Must be U.S. Citizen and eligible for SECRET security clearance
BS in Computer Science or related discipline. 5 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
Experience with Object Oriented software development theory and associated methodologies
Good understanding of coding methods and best practices
3 years of related experience in Software Development.
Strong C++ or Java programming skills.
Must be willing to work on-site.
Desired Qualifications:
Excellent Math and Physics skills
Agile software development lifecycle experience.
Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills.
Self-starter with the ability to stay organized while balancing multiple priorities.
JavaScript/React/Vue experience.
Proficiency with database tools such as PostgreSQL or MongoDB.

In support of pay transparency at Maxar, we disclose salary ranges on all U.S. job postings. The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the salary range provided below and is determined based on job-related factors, including, but not limited to, the experience, qualifications, knowledge, skills, geographic work location, and market conditions. Candidates with the minimum necessary experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skillsets for the position should not expect to receive the upper end of the pay range.
The base pay for this position within Colorado is: $80,000.00 - $132,000.00 annually.
For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.
