JOB SUMMARY
Reporting totheDirector ofAccounting Policy&SECReporting, theSeniorAccountant willsupport thepreparation oftheannual, quarterly, and other SEC filings.The Senior Accountant willassist increating timely, high-quality deliverables andfacilitating controlprocedures toensuretheaccuracy andcompleteness ofMarriott lnternational's SEC filings.Additionally, the Senior Accountant will use knowledge ofgenerally accepted accounting principles to assist inmaintaining accurate financial statements.The role requires strong communication skills as it involves interaction with various stakeholder groups throughout Marriott, including senior executives.
ExpectedContributions
- Assistinthepreparation ofthefinancialstatements andotherdisclosures forinclusion intheAnnual Report, Form 10-K, Form 10-Q,Form 8-K,Registration Statements, and other SEC filings as necessary.
- Prepare andownthequarterly andyear-end closing calendars/requesteditemslistsandcoordinate the timely receipt of the required information with internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage thequarterly business unitsub-certificationletters includingdetermining content forappropriate inclusion, distributing tothe relevant parties, andanalyzing responses from the business units.
- Together withthe Assistant Manager, analyze, review, and document supporting schedules provided by various internal andexternal functional groups including Financial Reporting and Analysis, shared services center, Corporate Financial Accounting, andothersforinclusion intheForm 10-KandForm 10-Q,inatimely manner.
- Support theAssistant Manager onotherquarterly tasksasneeded, suchasthedisclosure checklist andXBRL review.
- Manage theorganization ofelectronic support foldersonSharePoint fortheForms 10-Q, 10-K,and8-Kfiled by the Accounting Policy group.
- Coordinatewithinternalandexternalauditorstoprovidesupportforexternalreports.
- Manage the distribution of drafts of the Form 10-K andForm 10-Q to various internal and external parties, including draftingemails, accumulating comments receivedfromthoseparties,andinputtingchanges into the various drafts.
- Together withtheAssistant Manager,reviewpressreleases,conferencecallscripts,andotherinformation prepared for release to external parties.
- Assistwithquality controlprocedures forthevarious SECfilings, including checking theaccuracy ofdataand disclosures, footing, and grammatical reviews.
- Maintain SOXcontrols fortheSECexternal reporting process, assistwithwalkthroughs,andcoordinate review of control procedures with internal and external stakeholder groups.
- Completeother accounting,internalcontrols,research,andanalytical projectsasassigned.

The salary range for this position is $75,000 to $97,400 annually.
