Piedmont Henry Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Part-time Night Shift The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is a 28-bed level III Baby Friendly Certified unit located on the 3rd floor of the North Tower adjacent to the OB Emergency Department and the Labor and Delivery Department. The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit provides exceptional care to our patients and community by maintaining a close working relationship with our interdisciplinary team. This team includes Cardiology services, ROP services, Respiratory Therapist, Speech and Occupational Therapist and Childrens Hospital of Atlanta. The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is comprised of a well diverse culture, multiple skills levels and patient acuities with the support of designated Charge nurses, Unit Based Educator, energetic Clinical Manager and excellent teamwork. The nurses have multiple professional growth opportunities by participating in Unit committees, Nursing Shared Governance, the Career Advancement Program and routine Educational Trainings.

Requirements for the Job:
RESPONSIBLE FOR: The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for patients. He/she functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability. The staff nurse is responsible for maintaining standards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care.
Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:Graduate of a nursing program
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:New Graduates of a nursing program eligible
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License.
BLS certification required.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:For PRN positions: One year of nursing experience in a hospital setting preferred
Bachelors degree preferred
Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable (see addendum)
Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting Preferred
