Job Summary

The Sonographer is responsible to provide cardiac ultrasound scans as directed by physician. Performs all duties and responsibilities in such a way as to demonstrate and support the hospital's Catholic heritage and Avera co-sponsorship values of hospitality, compassion and stewardship. Provides care/service in accordance with regulatory and accrediting agencies standards and Catholic Ethical and Religious Directives.

Education and/or Experience

  • Graduate of an A.M.A. cardiovascular technology school and RDCS/RCS registry required.
  • One year of experience preferred.
  • Must have a working knowledge of cardiac and vascular pathology.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

  • ARDMS Registry/Certification required. Current CPR certification or completion upon next available program.

Work Schedule

  • Day Shift with wknd/hol/call rotation; 48hrs/2wks

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

  • $30.25 - $45.75 per hour
