532-bed academic medical facility and teaching hospital, nurses are encouraged

participate in the plan of care for acute and vulnerable patients throughout
the hospital.
This position offers the unique opportunity to work across
various departments, gain diverse clinical experiences, and make a significant
impact on patient outcomes. As a Float Pool Nurse, you will be responsible for
providing direct nursing care across multiple patient care units, ensuring the
highest standards of patient care and safety. You will work as a versatile
member of our nursing team who adapts to different clinical settings, including
but not limited to medical-surgical, telemetry, intermediate care, and boarding
patients in our emergency department. This position requires flexibility,
critical thinking, and the ability to collaborate effectively with
interdisciplinary teams.
*Our full-time Float Pool Nurses work 3 12-hour
shifts per week and can pick any schedule that fits their life,
including fixed shifts and straight days*
Key Responsibilities
As a Clinical Nurse you will deliver proficient nursing care to patients and families whose needs range from uncomplicated to highly complex. You will identify current and potential complex problems of specific patient populations and critically analyzes trends and changes in patient status and plans appropriate interventions directly or indirectly through other nurses.

Qualifications
- ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
- At
least two years of recent acute care, hospital-based clinical nursing experience
required.
- Active DC RN License and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required.
