About the Job
We're seeking experienced Maintenance Mechanics to join our team for a 10 PM start shift. This role requires a proactive and skilled mechanic who can handle both preventative and reactive maintenance to ensure all production equipment runs efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities
- Preventative Maintenance: Plan, lead, and execute PM to minimize equipment downtime.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain all production machinery according to manufacturer specifications, including reading and following manuals.
- Reactive Maintenance: Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and structural components to resolve equipment failures.
- Welding & Adjustments: Perform welding repairs and make necessary adjustments to keep equipment in top condition.
- Refrigeration Monitoring: Oversee and monitor refrigeration equipment.
- Project Work: Participate in projects for equipment upgrades and installations.
- Team Collaboration: Work with team members, Quality Control, Supervisors, and Operators to ensure the production schedule is met.
- Reporting: Document and report maintenance problems verbally and with written follow-ups.
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience: 3-5 years in manufacturing maintenance, preferably with high-speed production equipment.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge in welding, fabrication, hydraulics, pneumatics, and troubleshooting.
- Mechanical Expertise: Must have machinist and part fabrication skills; PLC experience is a plus.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Certifications: Refrigeration Engineer’s License is a plus, with preference for Blue, Red, or Gold Seal certifications.
- Physical Ability: Able to lift, push, or pull up to 60 lbs.
- Flexibility: Available to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
Preferred Experience
- Equipment Maintenance: Skilled in maintaining motors, pumps, valves, seals, bearings, shafts, and conveyor belts.
- Electrical & Controls: Experience with electrical control systems, conveyor systems, and welding.
- Machine Operation: Familiarity with machines such as lathes, drills, grinders, and milling machines.
- Safety Procedures: Knowledge of LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) for safe maintenance practices.
- Specialty Equipment: Experience with Videojets (labeling) and blow molders.
