Sr. Software Engineer w/Angular.JS and Python
Cognizant’s Digital Engineering practice is seeking a highly qualified Engineer with experience in Angular.JS, Javascript, Azure, and Phyton, developing and building hard-working, scalable, enterprise applications. You will be part of a digital software team that works on high-demand applications. Our engineers have a passion for high-quality, reliable, and maintainable code. You will work side by side with product managers, designers, and clients, making decisions together to quickly deliver valuable working software to clients and their users. Location: Washington, DC, USA. (Hybrid, 3 days at office)

Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain high-quality software solutions using Angular JS, Azure, and JavaScript.
- Experience in Python.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Ensure the performance quality and responsiveness of applications.
- Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
- Continuously discover evaluate and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
- Work closely with product managers to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Implement security and data protection measures.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Conduct unit and integration testing to ensure software quality.
- Document development processes code changes and other technical information.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our solutions remain cutting-edge.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 8+ years of relevant experience.
- Possess a strong background in Angular JS, Azure, and JavaScript.
- Having experience in Investment Banking Operations and Investment Banking & Brokerage is a plus.
- Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Show proficiency in software development, best practices, and methodologies.
- Exhibit strong communication and teamwork skills.
Salary and compensation
The annual salary for this position is between $95K – $141,500K depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
