We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Production Services (MQ Support)to join our Technology Services Group (TSG) team. This role is preferred to be in our Pittsburgh or Lake Mary sites via hybrid in office work arrangement (3 days in office).
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Collaborate with application teams in exploring most suited MQ implementation for their requirements.
- Provision MQ infrastructure
- Ensure implementation solutions always meet the firm’s quality of standards.
- Provide your assistance on MQ related alerts and incidents.
- Contribute on change management and DR related events
- Demonstrate high level of ownership and accountability.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree preferred. 8 - 10 years of related infrastructure experience required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
- 8+ years of experience in administering MQ in zOS environment.
- Strong knowledge of MQ Queue Sharing Groups, MQ clusters with mainframe QManager members, manage channel auths in zOS, TLS certificate management and stream Queues.
- Some understanding of MQ application programing experience in zOS environment (either C, COBOL, or Java) and the infrastructure dependencies there.
- Solid understanding of MQ DR events on mainframe and the underlying dependencies
- Good understanding of MQ upgrade process in zOS environment
- Some basic understanding of security exits
- Good understanding of change management and incident practices
- Ability to multitask and manage deliverables under time pressure.
