Summary:
As a Preschool Assistant Teacher at Chesterbrook Academy, you will help create, manage, and participate in a variety of learning environments and activities that provide opportunities for students to develop to their fullest potential and achieve their learning objectives. Participate collaboratively and professionally with other teachers and staff to promote the general well-being of the school, and thecollective/individual interest of its staff and student body.
Location: 116 Welsh Rd Horsham, PA
Hours: 7:45am to 4:45pm or 8:30am to 5:30pm (Monday through Friday)
Pay Range: $17.00 to $19.00 per hour (depending on education and experience)
Responsibilities:

- Health & Safety: Prioritizes a safe, clean, and attractive learning environment. Maintains compliance with accreditation and state licensing requirements as well as all applicable state and federal laws, and internal policies and procedures.
- Educate, Inspire, Engage: Our Preschool Assistant Teachers are enthusiastic about developing life-long learners, genuinely care about children, and possess the sensitivity and knowledge to understand a child’s individual needs while fostering an inclusive classroom.
- Relationship Building: Have a strong desire to work collaboratively with a talented team of diverse educators and administrators. Develop and maintain interpersonal relationships with the families, students, and school community.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must be able to carry or lift 25 pounds or less (25-50%) often and 25-50 pounds (10-25%) occasionally.
- Complies with all company and state-specific standards and maintains validation of required credentials for the position.
- Ability to successfully pass a state and federal background check.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to connect with students.
- A minimum of one of the following:
- High School Diploma or GED AND at least 30 credit hours in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, Elementary Education, or the Human Services field.
- High School Diploma or GED AND 15 relevant credits (or CDA) with at least 1 year of experience with children.
- High School Diploma or GED AND at least two years of experience with children.
