The Technical Audience Developer will update and build new audiences for multiple channels to drive customer communications. This individual will translate marketing requests into outputs across various marketing tools. The tasks owned by this role will support Sherwin-Williams in driving greater insights, engagement, and improved lead nurturing for all business-to-business market segments (Residential Repaint, New Residential, Commercial, Multi-Family, Healthcare, and Hospitality) and the direct-to-consumer market segment (Do-It-Yourself).

  1. Serve as key Email, SMS/MMS, and Paid Media audience developer, working in our ESP, CDP, and SMS deployment tools, using SQL and the UI of the tools to develop audiences:
    • Develop campaign audiences by the strategy and objectives stated in the campaign requirements document
    • Translate requirements and directions to accurately implement customer journeys and data strategies into marketing automation programs
    • Provide proactive troubleshooting solutions as roadblocks come up through campaign discovery and development
    • Customize & optimize campaign management process as required, focusing on continuous improvement and documentation of development, testing, quality control, etc.
    • Collaborate directly with stakeholders across teams, including Marketing Communications, Marketing Research and Design, and DDX to understand their goals and processes to execute
    • Work with external partners to understand and optimize the use of our deployment tools
    • Provide status updates on projects and tasks via project management tools (Workfront, Jira, etc.)

FORMAL EDUCATION

Required:

  • 4-year College Degree; (Information Systems, Business Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent backgrounds are preferred but not required)

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

Required:

  • 5+ years of experience using marketing technologies to develop marketing segments and audiences
  • Core understanding of relational database design concepts
  • SQL experience
  • Effective problem-solver, able tothink through and proposealternative options

Preferred:

  • Advanced SQL experience
  • Experience with B2B and B2C campaigns
  • Experience with a CDP

TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Required:

  • Marketing cloud tool experience (ex. MessageGears, Lytics, Acoustic, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Campaign, Unica, Alteryx, Marketo, BigQuery, Snowflake, RedPoint Global, Segment, Treasure Data, Blueconic, Action IQ, etc.)
  • Knowledge of database structures, documentation, and processes
  • Experience using project tracking software to collaborate with and keep team members and key stakeholders informed on the status of current and pipeline projects

Preferred:

  • Advanced SQL experience
