Your Role:
As the Assistant Branch Manager, you’ll oversee daily branch operations, drive efficiency, and support the management team to achieve operational and financial goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure efficient branch operations, including safety, sanitation, inventory, merchandising, and customer service.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their concerns and fostering long-term partnerships.
- Enforce compliance with safety regulations (HACCP, OSHA), security measures, and quality control standards.
- Analyze operational and financial reports to identify opportunities and implement improvements.
- Develop and uphold service standards and operational goals for the branch.
- Optimize sales by delivering exceptional customer service within budgetary guidelines.
- Manage hiring, training, and professional development for department managers and staff.
- Address employee relations, including transfers, promotions, and disciplinary actions.
- Conduct inventory reviews to ensure accuracy and product availability.
- Collaborate with Corporate Offices to adhere to company policies and regulations.
What You Bring:
- Experience: At least 4 years of management experience in foodservice or grocery distribution.
- Operational Skills: Proven expertise in P&L, inventory control, payroll, and loss prevention.
- Leadership: Strong ability to manage and coach department managers and staff.
- Customer Focus: Skilled at building and sustaining customer relationships.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with state and federal laws governing warehouse operations.
- Analytical Thinking: Capable of interpreting reports and implementing actionable strategies.
