Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled building engineer to join our team onsite in Canby, OR. This role is responsible for performing preventive maintenance and monitoring building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and fire alarms, to ensure optimal functionality and compliance with environmental and operational standards.

Key Details:

  • Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
    • On-call Rotation: Once a month (Monday morning to the following Monday morning).
  • Location: Onsite in Canby, OR
  • Assignment Duration: Until February 2, 2025
  • Potential for Full-Time Conversion: Not applicable
  • Interview Process: One virtual team interview (camera required).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive maintenance across multiple trades, including basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
  • Monitor building systems and operations to ensure equipment operates within design capabilities.
  • Inspect building systems such as fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to confirm compliance with prescribed environmental and operational standards.
  • Interpret and execute instructions, short correspondence, and memos with attention to detail, asking clarifying questions as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

Must-Have Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
  • Ability to interpret instructions and correspondence accurately.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Outlook for communication and scheduling.

Years of Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.

Educational Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Certifications:

  • Universal CFC certification (required).
  • Universal EPA license (preferred).

The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and comfortable working across various trades. They must be able to operate independently, demonstrate a keen attention to detail, and possess strong problem-solving skills.
