Job Title: Mechanical Engineer
Overview
Responsible for initiatives in all areas of Asset Management, including Maintenance and Work Process,Mechanical Integrity, and Mechanical Reliability. This role is focused on advancing standards for Asset
Management Programs globally.
Responsibilities
• Use knowledge of Industry Best Practices to serve as program leader and continuously improve
Asset Management Program
• Address all Mechanical Integrity questions and utilize technical expertise to make decisions in support of
Plant Inspection activities. Work closely with Maintenance groups to ensure effectivePredictive & Preventative Maintenance programs
• Work with Corporate and plant HSES groups to ensure Mechanical Integrity Program isfollowing local and federal laws. Ensure that all PSM requirements are seamlessly integrated into Mechanical Integrity Program
• Function as the corporate liaison between Engineering and Maintenance groups on all Asset
Management issues
• Develop maintenance standards and procedures with applicable KPI’s to ensure proper to program
effectiveness
• Communicate Asset Management Program goals, drivers, and summaries to various audiences to provide
status and garner support for the program
• Provide technical support and perform business process owner responsibilities for GE APM/Meridium
(Mechanical Integrity software) and SAP Plant Maintenance module
• Perform detailed design calculations and sizing as required for capital project mechanical scope items
• Drawing review and approval for all fabricated equipment to ensure design meets all applicable industryand internal standards and code requirements
• Support on-site mechanical integrity group by reviewing, modifying, and approving all repair plans for fixedequipment and piping
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other Engineering degree’s with experience or 10+ years of plant maintenance experience
• Demonstrated working knowledge of inspection procedures, maintenance and reliability and industry bestpractices within the chemical/manufacturing environment typically obtained after 8 or more years ofexperience in a related field.
• Experience developing standard work processes
• In depth knowledge of ASME Section VIII, API 570, 650, 653 industry codes
• Strong working knowledge of Mechanical Integrity and OSHA PSM requirements
• SAP Maintenance experience
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE PREFERRED
• Experience in root cause analysis, failure mode and effects, and asset criticality assessment
• Experience with Maintenance Turnarounds
• Experience implementing and maintaining effective Mechanical Integrity programs

• Able to travel, as required, up to 10%
