- Hillcrest Hospital South is a full-service 180-bed hospital providing a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services using state-of-the-art technology in a friendly community setting. Consistent performance has helped the hospital be nationally recognized for patient safety.
Responsibilities- Assume responsibility for the direction and coordination of all day-to-day functions in the unit on his/her designated shifts.
- Responsible for the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit.
- Responsible for the supervision of assigned nursing and unit-based personnel to provide a safe, caring environment for patients, family and staff which fosters professional nursing practice, shared decision making, inter-professional teamwork and collaboration with positive patient and staff outcomes.
- Assist the Nursing Manager/Director in planning, developing, implementing, evaluating and monitoring policies and procedures, allocation of resources, quality/performance improvement initiatives, educational programs and shared governance councils to achieve departmental and organizational goals and objectives.
- Provide direct nursing care as needed.
QualificationsJob Requirements:
- A graduate of an accredited nursing school.
- Must possess a current Oklahoma License as a Registered Nurse.
- Must obtain and maintain a current certification in CPR.
- Must obtain and maintain ACLS within 6 months of hire.
Preferred Job Requirements:
- Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred.
- Two to five years of clinical experience (preferably in the area of application)
- Experience in patient care management
- Charge nurse experience
