This part-time associate is responsible for sampling products for suppliers within a Sam’s Club location. They introduce customers to new and exciting items and brands through product tasting events, sampling, or demonstrations. While experience in food preparation, such as cooking or handling food, is beneficial, it is not required.
Responsibilities
Engage customers to effectively convey essential product information.
Ensuring strict compliance with food safety regulations while preparing, cooking, processing, plating, and serving samples.
Collaborating with the team to meet and exceed sales targets for the products.
Qualifications
Applicants must be at least 16 years old (18+ for roles involving alcohol and production).
Weekends (Friday-Sunday) are preferred, with availability for holidays and weekday shifts.
Reliable access to a smartphone or tablet on days worked
The ability to safely use appliances (microwave, toaster oven, hot plate)
The ability to stand to perform the event for the duration of the event
We welcome applicants without a high school or college degree, have no experience or are returning to the workforce and/or have military experience. We provide comprehensive online and/or on-the-job training to get you working quickly.
Work Environment
Moderate to high noise levels associated with a retail grocery warehouse environment. Some exposure to cold, refrigerated conditions, food products and cleaning chemicals.
